Tips for effective delegation

Showing your employees you trust them is critical for success, but delegating responsibility can be difficult for some leaders. You can get better at delegation by starting with small assignments and having reasonable expectations about how the process will work, according to Dana Brownlee, founder of Professionalism Matters. In addition, it's important to figure out how often employees want you to communicate with them, Brownlee advises.
