Windows 8.1 embraces interactive video clips within ads

Microsoft is allowing advertisers to use some IAB-approved banner-ad formats that include 15-second videos. The change in Windows 8.1 will permit the consumer to turn the video's sound off, make it full screen, click through to the advertiser's site, or trace an element in the video on a touchscreen to interact with it, according to Microsoft's Greg Nelson.
