Researchers: Supplements, herbal remedies can cause eye damage

A new research report warns of potential eye damage from the use of some herbal remedies and nutritional supplements. The report cited possible dangers from such commonly used supplements as chamomile, ginkgo biloba, licorice, vitamin A and echinacea. The researchers noted many people believe naturally occurring substances are safe and fail to mention their use to doctors, thereby increasing the danger of possible adverse reactions.
