Survey: Americans are eating more organic foods

Organic food sales in the U.S. hit $10 billion last year, supporting findings of the 2004 Whole Foods Market Organic Foods Trend Tracker survey that says 54% of Americans have tried organic foods. Americans say they are buying organic because the foods are healthier, are better for the environment and support local and small growers.
