Report: Social networking could hit plateau in 2012

The social-networking category will continue its rapid growth through 2009, but could level off by 2012, according to a new report by U.K.-based Datamonitor. The study also noted the range of interest in social networking worldwide, with Asia Pacific by the end of 2007 predicted to total 35% of the global market, North America to have 25% and the Caribbean and Latin America to post 12%.
