Solae substitutes milk with new soy proteins

Soybean company Solae has introduced Suproplus 9000 and Suproplus 9040, soy-based ingredients that are designed to replace milk in beverages, bakery mixes and processed dairy-product formulations. "In many applications, we can replace all or a portion of the dairy proteins used, maintaining traditional taste, texture and nutrition while delivering significant cost savings," one Solae executive said.
