Study says CE makers are going green

Consumer-electronics manufacturers are working hard to reduce their electrical use and greenhouse-gas emissions as well as increase their reliance on recycled products, according to a new survey from research firm Technology Forecasters released by the Consumer Electronics Association. "This study demonstrates the industry's commitment to environmental sustainability through eco-design, energy efficiency, green manufacturing and electronics recycling," said CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro.
