BB&T Chairman John Allison said Wednesday that capitalism was the best cure for the capitalist financial crisis, and that too much regulation was the cause. "Government policy is the cause of the financial crisis," Mr. Allison said. "It is not surprising that the most regulated segment of society [the financial sector] is where the problems started." He called for a decrease in regulation. "It is the individuals' right to their own life," Mr. Allison added.
