Chesapeake's U.S. shale plays reach record production levels

Output from Chesapeake Energy's four primary shale gas plays in the U.S. has attained record levels. Production surpassed 1 billion cubic feet per day at the Barnett Shale and hit 500 million cubic feet per day at the Haynesville Shale, the company said. Output exceeded 400 million cubic feet per day from the Fayetteville Shale and reached 100 million cubic feet per day in the Marcellus Shale.
