Plastic food service knife used in attempted hijacking

Security guards on an EgyptAir flight from Istanbul to Cairo overpowered a would-be hijacker demanding that the plane be diverted to Jerusalem. An airline security official said a Sudanese passenger carrying a phony passport used a plastic knife to threaten the crew. Guards were able to subdue the man with no injuries to passengers or crew, and the flight continued to Cairo, where he was arrested.
