Report: Nearly 1 in 5 U.S. users are microblogging

Nearly one in five Internet users in the U.S. are tapping Twitter or other microblogs, compared to 11% in April, the Pew Internet Project is reporting. Accounting for most of increase are Web users in the 18-to-44 age segment, mobile users and members of Facebook, MySpace and other social networks, according to the Pew study.
