Frontier, Midwest merge reservation system as integration proceeds

Six months into the integration of Frontier Airlines and Midwest Airlines, parent company Republic Airways says it reached a major milestone earlier this month when the carriers' separate reservations systems were combined into one. "This was a technological challenge," says CEO Bryan Bedford, and a company spokesman admits the process "took longer than anticipated." Still on Republic's to-do list: merging frequent flier programs, installing Wi-Fi on Midwest aircraft and repainting the Midwest fleet with Frontier livery.
