Microsoft invests in retail training, new software displays

Microsoft, which will open 34 pop-up stores this week to showcase its Surface tablet, is dictating how big-box stores should display computers running Windows 8 software when it goes on sale Friday. The company partnered with Intel to create new displays and to help train thousands of retail employees on the new software.
