Algebra pilot program at Calif. school uses iPads to flip classroom

Middle-school students at Pajaro Middle School in Watsonville, Calif., are making how-to videos on math concepts such as inequalities to display their knowledge. The activity is part of an algebra pilot program in which iPads were issued to help mostly low-income eighth-graders view lessons at home and get more one-on-one instruction in class. "You can see it on a day-to-day basis, just the engagement. It's crystal clear," algebra teacher Jared Boggs said.
