Cocoa purchasing down for Cameroon cocoa grinders

Sic Cacao, the Cameroon affiliate of Barry Callebaut, purchased all available beans for crushing in August, a total of 2,252 tons, down from the 4,624 tons it bought in the same month last year. Chococam, owned by Tiger Brands, another major bean processor in Cameroon, purchased none although it had purchased 458 tons the previous season. The Cameroon cocoa season runs from August to July.
