Decreasing affordability drags down U.S. home sales

Homes sales in the U.S. fell 1.9% in September from August as rising interest rates and prices made homeownership less affordable, the National Association of Realtors said. Nationally, the median home price rose 11.7% from September 2012 to $199,200.
