Don't put too much emphasis on fitness standards, experts say

Age and gender standards for exercise and fitness are guideposts, and because it is difficult to determine what is normal for different groups, people should not put too much emphasis on them, health experts say. Many experts and study data agree, however, that cardiovascular fitness is an important predictor of good health.
