Emerging-market investors shift focus

Investors in emerging markets are taking an interest in economies that appear positioned to ride out a downturn relatively unscathed because of minimal reliance on foreign financing or because they have taken advantage of loose money from the Federal Reserve to fix long-standing problems. Capital is shifting to Mexico, Czech Republic and South Korea as investors increasingly shy away from Brazil, India, Indonesia, South Africa and Turkey.
