HHS busts 10 myths about HIPAA's security risk evaluation rule

The federal government has posted information on its HealthIT.gov website about 10 misconceptions surrounding the provision in the revised HIPAA rules about carrying out a security risk evaluation. These include the misconceptions that security risk evaluation is optional for small health groups and that simply implementing a certified EHR system satisfies the meaningful use requirement for security risk analysis.
