Mich. regulator is crafting new fracking rules to disclose chemicals

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality is crafting new hydraulic fracturing regulations, officials said. Energy producers would be required to disclose the chemicals in their fracking fluid, as well as use a state computer system to monitor water consumption. The regulations are expected to be finalized in six to nine months, said Dan Wyant, director of the department.
