Pa. House approves Rx drug bill

The Pennsylvania House voted 191-7 in favor of legislation that would create a prescription drug database in the state, which is intended to track the use of drugs and help prevent abuse and addiction. An amendment to the bill would require investigators to get a search warrant before they could view records for Schedule II drugs, which include opiate-based painkillers. The bill advances to the state Senate for a vote.
