USPSTF: Data does not show benefit of early dementia tests

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force said an analysis of more than 300 studies found no proven benefit for routine screening of patients for early stage dementia. "There is no empirical evidence on whether interventions affect clinician, patient, or family decision making," Dr. Jennifer Lin and other researchers wrote in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
