Battle to provide low-cost prescriptions intensifies

Meijer Inc.'s 176 pharmacies will fill prescriptions for seven generic oral antibiotics for free, the company announced Monday. The move follows Wal-Mart's offer of $4 prescriptions for some generic drugs in 15 states, and Kmart's nationwide pricing of $15 for a 90-day supply of 184 generic prescriptions.
