Packaging changes help milk consumption increase

The dairy industry is using a change in milk packaging to encourage more dairy consumption in schools. Square, paper, eight-ounce milk cartons are being replaced with round, plastic, resealable jugs of the same size. "The only thing we have done differently is the change in packaging, and we more than doubled our milk sales," said one school district's food service director.
