Biotech labeling not required in all states

The FDA does not mandate that U.S. manufacturers indicate the presence or absence of biotech ingredients on product labels, says Stephanie Kwisnek, the agency's public affairs specialist. A few states, however, have implemented their own labeling systems to indicate if products such as seeds and fish contain biotech ingredients or not.
