High school principal threatened with noose

A Brooklyn, N.Y., principal, Tyona Washington, who is black, opened a package Monday containing a noose and a racially charged letter, the eighth such incident in the New York area in recent weeks. The state legislature is advancing an anti-noose law, which would make intimidation with such symbols a felony.
