Wildfires put emergency response systems to test

Emergency-response systems put in place since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina are being put to the test in the California wildfires this week. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said much has been learned in the state since the devastating wildfires of 2003, and fire chiefs say improved communication has allowed for faster response by firefighters.
