American Airlines joins U.S. testing of paperless documentation of cargo

American Airlines said Wednesday its scheduled flight from JFK to London Heathrow would be the first test of a new paperless documentation system for air cargo. The International Air Transport Association says the system is designed to cut out 12 paper documents, helping to speed shipments and cut costs. British Airways, KLM, United Airlines and DHL are among the other carriers participating in U.S. tests.
