Damaged bridge delays efforts to rebuild Texas city

Damage to a bridge across a gap in a peninsula may delay attempts to rebuild Port Bolivar, Texas, severely damaged by Hurricane Ike. Equipment and construction materials can't get there until the bridge is repaired. New power lines were installed last week, but water lines have yet to be built. "If you want to see the bulk of reconstruction begin and continue at a high pace, it's going to be after the infrastructure is back," Galveston County Commissioner Patrick Doyle said.
