Richard Goldstone wins MacArthur Award for work in Rwanda, South Africa

The MacArthur Foundation bestowed its MacArthur Award for International Justice on Richard Goldstone, a visiting Harvard Law School professor, for his work establishing a war-crimes tribunal in Rwanda after the nation had suffered genocide. In addition, Goldstone helped to guide South Africa's transition to democracy, worked to establish a war-crimes tribunal in the former Yugoslavia and investigated the Oil for Food program scandal in Iraq.
