Statins may help women with APS avoid miscarriage

A study done with mice indicates that cholesterol-lowering statins may help women with the autoimmune disorder antiphospholipid syndrome avoid miscarriages. Researchers say statins injected in mice APS prevented the activation of white blood cells that attack the placenta and fetus.
