Losing weight after pregnancy more difficult for obese

Women who are obese and gain more than 15 pounds during pregnancy retain 40% of that weight, on average, a year later, researchers say. Though extra weight increases health risks, a nutritionist noted that women should not diet during pregnancy or in the first few months after delivery.
