Netflix divulges international streaming strategy

Sometime in the second half of next year, Netflix will begin expanding its streaming-video service to countries overseas, said Reed Hastings, the company's chief executive officer. Hastings, as part of the company's third-quarter earnings report, also said that 42% of Netflix's 11.1 million subscribers streamed at least 15 minutes of content during the three-month period, a 22% increase over Q3 2008.
