Union presses 3-point agenda for TSA reform

TSA officials have held meetings over the summer with two large labor groups, and the unions are hopeful that screeners will soon win collective bargaining rights. Among the issues being pressed by the American Federation of Government Employees: uniform sick leave procedures; required explanations for officers denied promotions; and standardized disciplinary policies to prevent arbitrary actions by individual airports.
