UPS sees profits drop 43% in third quarter

United Parcel Service reported a 43% drop in third-quarter profit, with revenue falling even more than analysts had projected. With some improvement in freight and international volume, CEO Scott Davis expressed optimism that recovery has begun, adding "we still have a long way to go."
