Mo. districts must establish social media policies

School districts in Missouri are being required to adopt policies that describe the appropriate use of social media between teachers and students. The measure, signed into law Friday by Gov. Jay Nixon, supersedes a policy that prevented teachers from privately messaging students online. Critics of the new law say it could lead to legal battles.
