No apparent weight-loss benefit from calcium, researchers say

A study of 40 teens published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found no difference in body fat and weight between teens who consumed 1,300 milligrams of calcium a day and those who consumed 650 milligrams. Researchers also found no evidence that calcium binds to fat in the intestines and prevents its absorption.
