Zoo staff resuscitate newborn tapir

Denver Zoo veterinarian Gwen Jankowski and zoo staff member Rebecca McCloskey break open the amniotic sack of a newborn baby tapir that wasn't breathing within moments of its birth and give it respiratory resuscitation in this video of the birth last month. "The baby's doing wonderfully. In fact, I haven't seen him very much, which means he's doing most excellent, and we're all excited," said Dr. Jankowski.
