For better WOMM, find out the reason customers talk about you

Marketers need to do a better job of understanding what makes customers talk about their brand, Geno Church says. He notes that advertising inspires less than 25% of brand conversations. "If we understand why people talk, we have a greater chance of inspiring them to talk," Church said. "Brands can bring people together; we can connect customers with other customers who share a passion."
