Juniper Networks said it plans to immediately reduce its workforce by 3%, cutting about 280 jobs, despite third-quarter revenues of $1.19 billion. The network-gear-maker said it is optimistic about revenue expectations for the fourth quarter despite a potential sales dip in the federal-government sector because of the shutdown.
