Medicaid initiative adds psychologists to primary care teams

An Oregon Medicaid project is placing psychologists in primary care offices to give patients broader access to care. Psychologist Robin Henderson said the therapists hired by the St. Charles Health System in Bend, Ore., saw 400 Medicaid patients in two years and reduced the average cost of care.
