School repairs, programs go unfunded in sequester

Schools that serve students from Native American reservations or military bases rely heavily on federal funding, and sequestration cuts mean such schools are cutting programs and being forced to forgo needed building repairs. It's "absolutely unconscionable that we are disinvesting in some of our most vulnerable students including those from tribal and rural communities and military-connected children," said U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
