Singapore bankers welcome new financial accords with China

Singapore bankers hailed four financial-cooperation initiatives newly signed by the city-state and China. Of particular note, bankers said, is the agreement facilitating cross-border yuan flows for Singapore companies operating in the Suzhou Industrial Park and Tianjin Eco-City. "It's the most exciting measure as it'll mean cheaper funding," said OCBC Bank economist Tommy Xie.
