Compound may help develop anti-bacterial drugs

A compound that inhibits RNA polymerase may be the answer in the fight against drug-resistant bacteria, researchers reported in the journal Science yesterday. Discovering how the experimental compound works will help the development of targeted drugs, the researchers said.
