Expert: Ethanol becoming nation's second-largest corn consumer

A renewable fuels expert says the ethanol industry may soon become the nation's second-largest consumer of corn, with 91 plants currently operating in the U.S. to produce about 4 billion gallons of ethanol annually. Bob Dinneen, CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association, told a Nebraska audience that 21 more ethanol plants are under construction to produce another billion gallons of fuel a year.
