GSK said ready to produce bird flu vaccine in months

GlaxoSmithKline reportedly has concluded it would be able to produce a large supply of bird flu vaccine within just four months of an official declaration by the World Health Organization that a flu pandemic is under way. Such a WHO announcement would allow GSK and other drugmakers to modify typical testing and safety procedures in order to rush production of a vaccine.
