Google, Nielsen launch TV ad-ratings service

Google is teaming with the Nielsen Company to provide a TV ratings service similar to its AdWords program for the Web that supplies second-by-second figures on the number of viewers watching commercials and their demographic information. Google TV Ads initially will use data gathered via set-top boxes of subscribers to EchoStar Communications' DISH Network, according to this article.
