Bilingual-teacher demand on the rise in Texas schools

As the number of students learning English as a second language in Texas school districts grows, so does the need for bilingual teachers, and officials said they hoped to emphasize that need during the recent Texas Association for Bilingual Education conference. Many districts in northern Texas offer bonuses and other incentives for teachers who are fluent in at least two languages.
