Many U.S. provider offices not practicing disaster drills

A Medical Group Management Association survey of its members found 84% of medical provider practices had not participated in disaster planning drills with government agencies in the past year and 71% had not done emergency drills with a local hospital in the last year. About 62% had not conducted disaster practice runs in their own practice and 30% had no emergency plans at all.
