New robots mimic service animals

New robots developed by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology are meant to complete the kinds of tasks that service dogs can do for people with disabilities. "We were amazed at what [service dogs can] do," said Georgia Tech professor Charles Kemp. "If we could make a robot that obeys all those commands, we knew that we would have something valuable."
